IranOpen Robocup


RoboCupTM (Originally calledas Robot World Cup Initiative) is an international research andeducation initiative. It is an attempt to foster AI and intelligentrobotics research by providing a standard problem where wide range oftechnologies can be integrated and examined, as well as being used forintegrated project-oriented education.

The official goal of the project:

By mid-21st century, a team of fullyautonomous humanoid robot soccer players shall win the soccer game,complying with the official rule of the FIFA, against the winner ofthe most recent World Cup.

IranOpen RoboCup

Iranian teams have been an activeparticipant of RoboCup events since 1998. The number of Iranian teamshas been largely increasing over the past years.
Thereby, the need tohave a regional event seemed rather necessary. Furthermore, since theoverall number world interested teams in RoboCup has increased; regionalevents may and can be a proper field for RoboCup leagues TechnicalCommittees to see teams qualities for RoboCup World Competitions.
IranOpen is a place for teams willing to take part in RoboCup WorldCompetitions in order to show their qualities and standards. It is alsoa place for fresh teams to gain experience and become ready to join theworld teams.
